AAU Math Edu held Visiting Professor with Prof. Masami Isoda

Alma Ata University Mathematics Education Study Program – Saturday, March 16, 2024, the Rector of the best university in Jogja, Alma Ata University Yogyakarta (UAA), Prof. Dr. Hamam Hadi, M.S., Sc.D., Sp.G.K along with vice rectors and lecturers received a visit from Prof. Masami Isoda from Tsukuba University Japan in the context of an expert lecture (Visiting Professor). Visiting Professor activities with the theme “Japanese Best Practice on Mathematics Learning Strategy in Primary School” were attended by all FITK UAA students who took micro teaching courses.

Prof. Masami Isoda explained about the beauty of mathematics and mathematical thinking in learning mathematics. According to him, the easiest strategy in learning mathematics is by giving problem solving problems, thus students are expected to be able to easily solve math problems quickly and accurately. It will also require students to think actively, creatively and innovatively.

Rino Richardo in his speech explained that Visiting Professor activities from abroad are a routine agenda of PMAT UAA to provide global insights to PMAT UAA students. With this activity, it is expected that students will have more global insight and can compete internationally.
