The PGMI Student Association (HIMMI) of Alma Ata University has successfully held an online-based entrepreneurship seminar. The entrepreneurship seminar discussed the world of entrepreneurship by presenting speakers who are experts in their fields. This event was held on Thursday, 21 October 2021 online via the Zoom meeting with the theme “Creative Entrepreneurship to Boost Community Productivity Amid the Pandemic”.
The purposes of this entrepreneurship webinar activity were to increase participants’ entrepreneurial insights, foster participants’ innovation and creativity in entrepreneurship, optimise the use of available platforms, and facilitate high students’ interest in entrepreneurship. This can be seen by the number of UAA students who have run their own businesses, both in the form of online shops and providers of various other products or services. Therefore, to increase the enthusiasm and confidence of students for entrepreneurship continuously, an entrepreneurship seminar was held with speakers Dr Margiyono (Lecturer at STIT Madina Sragen) who explained about creative entrepreneurship to increase community productivity, Pujo Hari Saputro, S. Kom., M.T (Lecturer at Alma Ata University Informatics) who explained about digital branding in marketing, Febrian Wahyu, S.E., ME (Lecturer ESY Alma Ata University) who explained tactical strategies in business in critical times, Ahmad Syamsul Arifin, M.Pd. I (Lecturer PGMI Alma Ata University) who explained creative personalities during a pandemic, and Andi Purnawan Putra, S.Pd., M. Sn (Lecturer PGMI STPI Bina Insan Mulia) who explained strategies for finding business opportunities during a pandemic.
The event started at 08.00 – 12.00 WIB and there also were door prizes for participants who answered in the guided session by the moderator. This event also ran smoothly and successfully even though it was only prepared for one month. This was proven by the high interest and enthusiasm of the participants in the forum who seemed always active and engaged with the speakers. (ksr)
