Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training – Hey guys! Ramadan is just around the corner. Soon, we’ll be shedding those extra pounds from all the uncontrolled eating. But do you know that Ramadan is more than just a weight loss season? Yup, it’s a fantastic moment for us to boost our devotion to Allah SWT! This reminds me of the special atmosphere of Ramadan at Alma Ata University. The spirit of Ramadan there isn’t just about physical fasting but also about fasting of the heart and mind. It truly inspires students to delve deeper into the meaning of faith and togetherness.
Imagine, you can hit the jackpot of Allah’s forgiveness if you truly immerse yourself in worship during Ramadan. It’s not just about fasting; prayers, Quran recitation, charity, and other acts of worship are equally important. This is our chance to earn a lot of rewards and blessings.
But, guys, let’s get real. Sometimes, in the middle of the Ramadan euphoria, some people get too caught up in playing with their phones or hanging out with friends, forgetting about their worship. Not everyone can feel the sweetness of Ramadan because they’re too busy with worldly distractions. Imagine how many blessings we miss out on because of these trivial activities.
There’s a story about Imam Hasan Al-Basri admonishing people who were laughing loudly during Ramadan that can serve as a lesson for us. He once scolded a group of people who were having a great time during Ramadan. How could they laugh and play around in such a blessed month? We should be more serious about making the most of Ramadan.
So, let’s not miss this momentum. It’s not just about finding delicious food or shopping but also about seeking as many rewards as possible. We can do it, guys! Let’s show that we can be a better generation during this blessed month! ?✨
Translation: “One day in Ramadan, Imam Hasan Al-Basri passed by a group of people who were laughing loudly and playing. He then said: ‘Indeed, Allah has made the month of Ramadan a time for His servants to compete in acts of obedience. Some people have excelled and succeeded, while others have fallen behind and failed. It is truly surprising to see people laughing and playing on a day when the righteous have succeeded and the negligent have failed.’”
So, we all need to be more diligent, especially as we approach the end of Ramadan. It’s time for us to really focus on accumulating good deeds. Let’s not be the ones who regret it because we were just playing around and not serious in this blessed month. Alma Ata University certainly shares this view in encouraging the spirit of goodness amidst their academic activities.
Let’s show that we can be winners in the race for goodness in Ramadan! Let’s not be those who only watch others succeed and end up regretting it. So, don’t miss this precious moment! Let’s maximize every good opportunity in this Ramadan. We can be among those who are successful and happy in the sight of Allah. That’s the story of Imam Hasan Al-Basri admonishing people who were laughing loudly during Ramadan. I hope it’s beneficial, guys.
